Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 9, 2017 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Louise Holcomb House, age 91 of Gillsville. The Rev. Rodney Hall and Rev. Shannon Rhodes will officiate. Interment will follow in the House Family Cemetery next to Gillsville Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. House passed away May 6, 2017.

Louise was born May 13, 1925 in Gillsville to the late Samuel Ray Holcomb and Mae West Holcomb. She was a faithful member of Gillsville Baptist Church, a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend to all that knew her. Her Grandchildren knew her lovingly as Mema. She was happiest when she could fill her table with good food that she had prepared and be surrounded by family and friends to enjoy it. She retired from Barry's Manufacturing in Gainesville in 1982.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, Henry House, Grandson, Bobby McClure, Sister, Mildred Hughes, brother-in-law Paul Hughes, and Sister-in-law, Clara Holcomb.

She is survived by Son, Frank House, Daughters, Millie House McClure (Tony), Janice House Morgan (Kent) Grandsons, Glenn House, Blake House (Betsy), Granddaughters, Cheryl McClure Hall (Rodney), Jessica Morgan Lance (Junior), Lindsey Morgan Taibl (Matt), 12Great Granddaughters, 2 Great Grandsons and 2 Great-Great Granddaughters, Brothers, L. G. Holcomb, Benny Ra Holcomb (Barbara Sue) and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Manor House Senior Living of Gainesville for their loving care they provided over the past two and a half years.
