Mr. Harvey Hopper (Poppy), age 70 of Oakwood Georgia, passed away Wednesday May 23, 2018 at Bell Minor Home of Gainesville, following an extended illness.

Harvey was born October 27, 1947 in Commerce, Georgia to the late Talmadge and Mattie Denton Hopper.

Harvey is also survived by four grandchildren, Dustin Humphries, Taylor (Josh) Kirkland, Katie (Kevin) Davis and Kelsey Eliason and two Great Grandchildren, Conner and Dominic. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Poppy’s unique humor and descriptive expressions were one of a kind. He enjoyed joking and poking fun with his grandchildren, family, and friends. He will certainly be missed but know he will always be with us.

The family would like to thank the staff at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice of Gainesville and the staff of the Bell Minor Home for their loving and compassionate care they extended to Harvey during his illness. Please accept my condolences for the loss of Harvey. God's word promises that there will come a time on earth when there will be no pain, suffering, or death (Revelation 21:3,4). May these promises provide comfort in this time of sadness.
